THE PLOT:
Marnie thought she was weird and since all teenagers feel their weird that made Marnie a normal teenager. Until the day Marnie's
grandmother arrived in town. Aggy tells her grandchildren of their heritage of witchcraft and she's been living in a parallel
world called Halloweentown that opens to the human world a week before Halloween.
So without their mother's permission they visit Halloweentown, but a mysterious force is threatening the Cromwell family
and wants to take over Halloweentown unless the Cromwells' can solve the mystery.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Creatures crawl in search of fun, that's a way to look at Halloweentown, it's a cool fun filled fest for the whole family
with nice monsters and one mean one. But there is a lesson hidden with the monster mash, a lesson of tolerance and acceptance.
No matter what race, status, religion or species you are, there is a place for you. That's nice and the monsters are cool
and story works, even if it gets silly at points. I give it 9 STARS.
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree, Debbie Reynolds who stared as the voice of Charlotte in Charlotte's Web does a great job in this. I also agree that
is does get a little silly at points. 9 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ FAMILY FUN (Not too scary for smaller viewers but not too cutesy wootsey either.)
+ COOL MONSTERS (The monsters designs are cool.)
+ LESSON (There's a lesson about acceptance.)
+ STORY (The story works.)
+ CAST (The cast and the acting is just great.)
...AND FINALLY...
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- SILLY (It does get silly at times.)
